There are many factors that drives us to encourage our interest to seek membership into our beloved
organization. Here are a few that makes the most impact on our members and those around us.
Unique Sisterhood
There is no bond like the one you will share with your sorors. Many have felt blessed for there sorors to have
entered there lives. Plenty of new friendships have been made and feeling left out is not an option CZT makes.
In honor of Our Soror Penny Allen-Smith, we do whatever we can to stay connected with all members, no
matter there membership status.
True Diversity
Our membership base is filled with women of different races, age, backgrounds, religions, orientations and
even size! We stand up for equality as an organization and that doesn't stop when it comes to our own
sisterhood. Having an open-mind, open-heart and embracing what makes us all different is what CZT is about.
Leadership
As a member, there are many opportunities to show us your ability to make things happen and to promote
teamwork. Even if you've never had a leadership position, CZT will give you the experience to take
responsibility on a project and make it successful even if it takes learning from your mistakes!
Networking
We have women who work in many different fields, Marketing, Beauty, Medical, Retail etc. Enjoy the support
from your sorors in your endeavors! Even if your in a Pageant, Fund Raising for a cause or hosting an event,
your sorors will be one of your biggest supporters in doing whatever they can to help!
Community Involvement
Enjoy giving back que-tee style! As members of CZT, by going out and getting our hands dirty for a cause, we
are proving to society that plus size women are not sitting back, feeling down and not willing to work! Not
only are we helping others to make where we live a better place, we are making a statement for plus size
women as we do it!
Be A Part of History
Chi Zeta Theta Sorority, Inc. is the first sorority with the purpose of empowering the plus size woman and giving
service to our community. That is a title that cannot be taking away and will live forever. Being apart of a
movement is special and can never be erased. As member we will continue the legacy and work for CZT to
never be forgotten even after were gone.
Committed to Our Purpose
Although CZT is the first, we were not the only! Many have followed in our footsteps, however, being the only
active plus size sorority we have proved that we work hard and fight for what we believe in by continuing to
keep this organization alive. Even through organization hardships we dust ourselves off, learn from our mishaps
and remember why we are here, the bigger picture, and that's most important!
Elite Membership
We take great pride in our members and have an extensive and selective application process. We want to
make sure that interested women are ready for the lifelong commitment and can represent the meaning of a
true Que-Tee. We screen every applicant before becoming a member, so we take who we let into our
organization very seriously. We are surely not about numbers, the quality of our members is the only way this
organization will prosper.
Breaking the Mold
Chi Zeta Theta is not your typical Greek-lettered organization. We are not based on a campus or are
concerned with how you look, what you have or who you hang with. We are a sisterhood who doesn't limit
membership to only college students so that everyone can experience sisterhood in Greek life. We carry city
wide chapters/colonies and we encourage all members to work together as a team/organization. We are
not concerned with being like any other sorority, we strive to be the best sorority for our members and our
community.
